We're learning more about Lydia McLaughlin's reasoning for Real Housewives of Orange County. And it turns out it's all about Lydia's baby plans.
Lydia tells Star magazine that she decided to leave the show of her own volition because she and husband Doug want to have another baby, and she feels that's something that should be kept private.
"I want to have a baby and didn’t want that to be my story line," Lydia says.
She says that she didn't wanted her journey with pregnancy to be something that the whole world could gawk at. "I just couldn’t exploit that on television because it is so personal and sacred," she adds of having a baby.
We understand why Lydia would feel this way, and we wish her and her family all the best. We assume that it's not easy to walk away from a gig on a TV show, so we definitely admire her decision.
That said, plenty of Real Housewives stars have been pregnant during the course of the show, so it's not exactly unusual. Perhaps Lydia had other reasons for not enjoying her time on RHOC?
What do you think of Lydia's decision to leave the show in order to have a new baby?
