Vomiting helped me win the Australian Open title - Serena Williams
Newly crowned Australian Open Champion, Serena Williams has claimed that vomiting helped her win the tournament.
Serena on Saturday defeated Maria Sharapova to win her sixth Australian Open title, her 19th Grand Slam win.
The 33-year-old American was ill for a period of the final, and at some point threw up, with Williams admitting that it helped her.
"I've got a really bad cold," Serena said afterwards.
"I ended up throwing up. I think that helped when I got everything out of me and cleared my chest out because I couldn't breathe a little bit."
