Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has slammed the way the club have played football over the past few years and insists he will get them playing football his way.
Mourinho has stated he didn’t like the way football has been played by the team under Rafa Benitez, Roberto Di Matteo and Andre Villas-Boas.The return of ‘the Special One’ hasn’t had the impact Chelsea had hoped, slipping to their worst start to a Premier League season in a decade with seven points from four games.
However, Mourinho is convinced there is no crisis at the club, the Daily Star report.
"Crisis? Syria? For me there is no crisis - two bad results,” said Mourinho.
"I don't like the way Chelsea played in the last couple of years.
"We want to change. We have the players to provide the change.”
The Portuguese manager has insisted that he won’t be living off his past achievements with the club and that they mean nothing to the current situation.
"We want to change the style and the past is history.
"I don't want to be protected by what I did in the past. It matters absolutely nothing.
"But we must have better results. We want this team to play in a certain way and that's the way we're going to work."
Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways after back-to-back losses as they host Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues haven’t lost to Fulham since 2006 and haven’t lost the home fixture since 1979.
