Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak's husband Kroy Biermann has certainly had a thrilling year, as the couple recently welcomed twins. However, he hasn't gotten to play much football this year, as he is currently out for the entire season with an injury. However, he just received a huge honor for his football skills.
Kroy, who plays for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, tore his Achilles tendon in a game in September and has been sidelined ever since. But he just got news that should lift his spirits, as he has landed at 23 on a list of the best male athletes to ever play in the Big Sky college conference of the NCAA.
"It's humbling,'' says the 28-year-old Kroy, who graduated from the University of Montana in 2008. "It's a great honor. It makes me reflect on where I'm at and how I got here. I've had great mentors, great coaches, and a great family. I couldn't have done it by myself. It's very humbling and I'm very appreciative of it.''
And Kim was understandably quite proud of her man. "So proud of my hubby @biermann71 number 23 on the '50 greatest athletes,'" Kim tweets on December 5.
Way to go, Kroy! And we have a feeling he'll be better than ever next season.
