Teen Mom 3 Canceled By MTV After One Season — Cast Reacts on Twitter

It's official: Teen Mom 3 has been put to bed.

Teen Mom 3's cast has announced on Twitter that the show has been canceled by MTV after only one season. Teen Mom 3 premiered in August 2013 and completed its 14-episode run last month.

The show — starring Briana DeJesus, Mackenzie Douthit, Alexandria Sekella, and Katie Yeager — had been on rocky footing long before it even premiered. Indeed, back in April 2013, rumors circulated that MTV might dump the show without even airing any episodes, although that proved to not be the case.

However, the show is now dunzo, as some viewers found the season to be a bit uneventful. Teen Mom 2, however, appears to be going strong, as reports indicate that the show is likely to return for Season 5 in early 2014.

The stars of Teen Mom 3 were understandably saddened by the cancellation, some more than others. Here's what they tweeted this weekend about the news:

Alexandria Sekella         @OfficialSekella
Yes no more teen mom 3. Guess we weren't enough of train wrecks for it to be interesting. America wants to watch crazies oh well

 Katie Yeager         @Katiebyeager
I'm grateful for this experience. Molli and I are ready to move on from this and live a normal life. Thanks for all the love and support ❤️
