Love & Hip Hop star
Mendeecees Harris has been keeping the internet buzzing as new accounts
of his arrest are coming in. It was incorrectly reported back in May
that Mendeecees was sentenced to 15 years in prison after voluntarily
turning himself in for drug and trafficking charges in January 2013.
While the 15-year sentence report continues to circulate the web, we’ve
learned some new details of Mendeecees’s court case.
In case you didn’t know, Mendeecees, along with two other men
(including his brother) are accused of trafficking $2.5 million worth of
drugs between 2005 and 2012. As of August, Mendeecees’s fiancée, Yandy Smith,
claims that the groom-to-be has been in jail without a bail hearing. We
recently learned that there was a bail review for Mendeecees this past
September, which was then pushed to October 28.
Mendeecees’s friend, rapper Cam’ron, took to Instagram to announce the big news, with a photo of his jailed friend and the caption, “The homie got a bail hearing!! #Mendeecees.”
However, court documents obtained by several websites indicate that the review was postponed to October 29, and it appears that the review was further postponed.
As it stands, there’s still no new word as to whether or not
Mendeecees will have a new bail hearing, or be released from jail in
time to make an appearance on this season of Love & Hip Hop. All we can do is wish Yandy the best!
Do you think Mendeecees Harris will get a bail hearing before the end of the year? Sound off in the comments below!
