Buhari Victorious, Emerges APC Presidential Candidate

Former Head of State, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari has emerged the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2015 elections.
Buhari emerged winner after a grueling electoral battle in which he polled 3,430 vote to beat other aspirants.
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar got only 954 votes.
About 7,200 delegates were accredited for the presidential primary.
With this landslide victory, Buhari will now face the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 presidential election.
Speaking on the conduct of the primary in Lagos, the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun said all the aspirants are winners, considering that they have all accepted to work together as a team towards actualising the party's presidential bid.
He said APC has, by successfully holding the presidential primary, shown that it was ready to drive change in Nigeria.
