Ondo state politician and media owner, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, yesterday purchased the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination forms to vie for the for the governorship seat of his state, under the national leadership of Sen Ali Modu Sheriff.
Jimoh who was at the Sheriff’s office to pick the form also promised to defray the salary of workers in the state within 100 days. He further blasted state governors who owe workers salary as lacking initiative.
He stated that Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led national caretaker committee has no locus standi in law to claim leadership of the party.
The entrepreneur added that Sheriff is known in law having taken over from Dr Adamu Muazu who resigned as national chairman before the expiration of his tenure.
Speaking on his plans for the state, Jimoh who promised to improve the living standard of citizens of the state, vowed to make prompt payment of their salary which he stressed have been largely paid in breach by the current administration of Olusegun Mimiko.
The business mogul described governors who owe workers salary as people without initiative, adding that Ondo state has over 10 solid minerals which he would tap to develop the state.
