Antonio Conte's Chelsea now have a club-record 38 players on loan at other clubs
Chelsea now have a club-record 38 players on loan at other clubs after letting 11 of their squad go on temporary deals on Deadline Day.
Although their incoming transfers stole the headlines - a return for David Luiz and a £24m signing in left-back Marcos Alonso - the movement out of Stamford Bridge also makes for interesting reading.
Defender Matt Miazga, 21, was the last out of the door early on Thursday morning, heading to sister club Vitesse Arnhem after a move to Espanyol fell through, having made just two appearances for the club following a move from New York Red Bulls in January.

That story is a familiar one; Chelsea have 18 players loaned out under the age of 21, with just 35 first-team appearances between them.
The 38 total loanees are spread over eight countries and 14 divisions, towering over the rest of the Premier League's outgoing loans.
Next are Manchester City, with less than half at 17 loaned out players, followed by Liverpool and West Ham with 12.

Unsurprisingly, Hull are bottom of the pile with just one loaned out player, following an uncertain summer in the transfer market for the newly-promoted Premier League side.
Of those Chelsea players who were loaned out last season, only midfielders Victor Moses and Nathaniel Chalobah, and striker Dominic Solanke are in Antonio Conte's first-team squad for the 2016/17 season.
