Juventus striker Paulo Dybala reminded European football of his amazing talent this evening by scoring against Barcelona – and for some reason, it’s prompting everybody to troll Jesse Lingard.
The Argentine forward lined-up against Barca in the first-leg of the sides’ Champions League quarter-final in Turin, and it took him just six minutes to open the scoring with a brilliantly composed finish.
And after 22 minutes, he had a second, reacting brilliantly to a cut-back inside the penalty area, and carefully blasting his finish beyond a helpless Marc Andre Ter Stegen.
But what does all this have to do with Manchester United winger Lingard? Well, as you might have heard, Lingard signed a bumper new contract last week, and it seems Dybala’s wage doesn’t quite stack up to the Englishman’s:
We have no idea why Lingard is particularly taking stick for this; we imagine he earns a lot more than lots of footballers.
