ATLETICO MADRID star Antoine Griezmann has reportedly told Real Madrid he will join Manchester United this summer
Express Sport understands Griezmann is Manchester United’s No1 transfer target.
The France international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford ever since his exploits for his country at Euro 2016 last summer.
After a terrific tournament on home soil that saw him score five goals, Griezmann has netted 25 times from 49 games for Atletico this season.
The Sun claimed a deal for the forward was sealed earlier this week - with United ready to pay £89million to snap him up.
Real have also been backed as a possible destination for the 26-year-old hitman.
However, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Griezmann has told the Spanish giants he intends to join United at the end of the season.
Though his focus is currently on Atletico, the striker appears to be on the verge of moving to Old Trafford.
He also knows manager Diego Simeone would not sell him to Real given the fierce rivalry between the two teams.
Griezmann is expected to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose United career is all but over after a serious knee injury sustained last month.
