Liverpool target former Real Madrid and QPR midfielder
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been linked with a move for Valencia’s Dani Parejo.
The former Real Madrid youth is linked with a £20 million move to Anfield according to the Mirror.
Brendan Rodger is ready to take his side to the ‘next level’ as they close in on UEFA Champions League qualification that would likely give the Northern Irishman a bigger transfer budget this summer plus an extra lure to the top players around the world.
The Reds have also been linked with Hoffenheim’s Roberto Firmino and Benfica’s Nicol Gaitán of late.
Dani Parejo is in his third season with Valencia and possesses both great passing and dribbling ability.
Whilst on the books at Real Madrid he was sent on loan to Queens Park Rangers for the first four months of the 2008-09 Championship season where he made 14 appearances in the second tier of English football.
Around the same time, Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger had shown interested in the teenager.
Now 24-years old, the uncapped Spaniard does not get on the scoresheet very regularly nor provide many assists so where would he play? Perhaps he could be a replacement for Jordan Henderson at Liverpool but he would struggle to dislodge Steven Gerrard or Philippe Coutinho from their first team positions one would think.
